Louise went into the arms of her Lord and Savior after suffering illnesses for some years.
She was born in Saratoga Springs, N.Y.
Louise met Jim Looff and in 1939 they married in Santa Monica, Calif.
In 1971, they moved to Whidbey Island where Jim was born and raised. There are still a few Looff’s around Whidbey Island.
Louise worked many years for Valborg’s Gift Shop and loved the work and customers.
After Jim’s passing in 1994, she volunteered at Skagit Valley Hospital until 2003.
Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Looff, of 55 years and her second husband, Gene Barker, of nine years.
Louise is survived by her daughter Robyn Looff, son Jim Looff (Cindy), Gene’s daughter Lisa Radaleff (Steve); grandchildren Caryn Yost (Russell), Eric Nelson, Jeffrey Falconer, Renata Falconer, Christina Leslie (Michael), Keri Loving, Jon Huerta; eight great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013, at Hawthorne Funeral Home, 1825 E. College Way in Mount Vernon.
Friends of Louise and family are invited.
A reception will follow at Park Village Mobile Park, 2725 E. Fir (left out of cemetery, right on Laventure, left on Fir, go about 1/4 mile and left into Park Village to club house).
