Lucy Tralle

Lucy J. Tralle was born Dec. 15, 1946, to Frank T. Stroman and Loretta Josephine Laubenthal Stroman in Emmetsburg, Iowa, and entered into rest with her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ March 15, 2005, following a courageous battle with cancer, with her loving family at her side.

Lucy is survived by her family: loving son Duane Tralle, Jr., of Oak Harbor; loving daughters Loretta Franz and her husband Eric of Yakima, Teresa Marlow and her husband Randy of Oak Harbor, Michelle Appleby and her husband Scott of Brucetonmill, W.V.; brothers Ralph Olson and his wife Phyllis of Buckner, Mo., and Anthony Olson of Estherville, Iowa; four grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; her special friend Theresa Spargur and the many friends who will miss her dearly.

Her beloved mother, father and beloved step-father Edwin J. Olson predeceased Lucy. Lucy had a special love, the Special Olympics, where she coached many sporting events. She also enjoyed gardening and karaoke.

A memorial Mass will be read for Lucy Wednesday, March 23, at 1 p.m., at St. Augustine’s Catholic Church, 185 N. Oak Harbor St., Oak Harbor. The Rev. Father Ronald H. Belisle is the Celebrant. Memorials in lieu of floral tributes can be made in Lucy’s name to Washington State Special Olympics. Arrangements by Affordable Burial and Cremation Services of Mount Vernon.
