Lydia Carlone passed away on Sunday, June 6, 2010.
Lydia was born May 1, 1938, in the Philippine Islands, where she was also married. She moved to the United States where she raised her family in Oak Harbor on Whidbey Island.
Lydia’s kind and loving heart led her to serve her community in the Pacific Northwest as well as her native home in the Philippines. Her doors were always open to provide warmth and comfort to anyone who was in need of a meal. Her charitable contributions and volunteer activities included the preparation of care packages for the armed servicemen in Vietnam and the collection of many items for Philippine flood victims.
Lydia leaves to cherish her memory Auntie Norma; six children, William, David, Margaret, Mary, Frank and Richard Jr.; the father of their children, Richard Sr.; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends.
Mass took place June 11, at St. Bridget, 4900 NE 50 St., Seattle.
