Margaret Ann ‘Peggy’ Kodalen

Margaret “Peggy” Ann Kodalen, 84, a resident of Great Falls, Mont., died June 23, 2002, at Martha and Mary’s Health Care Facility in Poulsbo, from complications resulting from a heart attack and stroke.

Margaret was born Feb. 13, 1918, in Great Falls, Mont., to Dougal and Cora (Edwards) Cameron. She graduated from Coeur d’Alene High School in 1935, and attended Sacred Heart Hospital School in Spokane and also attended Gonzaga University. Margaret married Kenneth Lief Kodalen Sept. 22, 1939, in Great Falls, Mont.She was a registered nurse for over 30 years.

Survivors of the deceased include her husband, Kenneth Lief Kodalen of Poulsbo; her sons, Kenneth “KC” Kodalen and his wife Sarah of Oak Harbor, Robert Kodalen and his fianceŽ Donna Reed of Poulsbo; her sister, Marie Bungay of San Diego, Calif.; grandchildren Stephan Kodalen, Kelley Arena and Kimberly Kodalen; and great-grandchildren, Kyle Kodalen and Conner Kodalen.

Preceding her in death are her parents, Dougal and Cora (Edwards) Cameron; her grandparents, Even and Astrid Kodalen of Eggedal, Norway; Johannis and Betty Olsen of Strafras, Sweden.

Visitation will be continue Saturday, June 29, from 9 a.m. until the funeral service at noon, at the Stone Chapel, Poulsbo Mortuary, located at 22272 Foss Rd. NE, Poulbso.

Cremation will be by the Cherry Grove Crematory, Poulsbo; services are by the Stone Chapel, Poulsbo Mortuary, Poulsbo. Memorial donations in memory of Peggy Kodalen can be made to Martha and Mary Health Services, P.O. Box 127, Poulsbo WA. An on-line memorial may be viewed at www.lewischapel.com.
