Margaret Elizabeth Jarrell, 89, resident of Brewster, Wash., passed away peacefully Wednesday, March 11, at Harmony House surrounded by family and friends.
Born in 1925 in Everett, Wash., she attended Arlington High School where she played clarinet in the band and graduated in 1945. She met her future husband, Mr. Jarrell, while working at Veterans Administration in Seattle, and they were married in 1948 at a church in Seattle. They had their son, Bill Jarrell, in November 1957, and later she worked at Boeing in Seattle. They moved to Whidbey Island in 1968, where Margret worked at Whidbey General Hospital for many years and attended all of her son’s sporting events. In 1992, Bill and Margaret Jarrell moved to Brewster, following their son’s family.
Margaret enjoyed gardening, bird watching, walking on the beach, baking, babysitting her grandchildren and watching their sporting events, and absolutely adored her dog, Daisy.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Lillian and Carl Pearson and her husband, William R. Jarrell Jr. (1997). She is survived by her son, William (Bill) R. Jarrell III, and his wife, Veronica; three grandchildren, William (Jr.) R. Jarrell IV, Carlee R. Wengel and her husband, Clark, and Corey R. Jarrell; and three step-grandchildren, Andy, Chris and Brian Sattler.
Her family is having a private service, and she will be buried at the Sunnyside Cemetery in Coupeville, Wash.
