Marjorie Whiteman, resident at Harborcare/Regency in Oak Harbor, passed away Jan. 15, 2010, due to pneumonia, complications from diabetes and kidney failure.

She was born Marjorie Anne Stanhope in Seattle on Aug. 4, 1930. She married Eugene K. Whiteman in April 1949 and spent several years living in Seattle before moving to Edmonds in 1957. Marjorie worked alongside her husband for many years in his distributor/ warehouse business. She moved to LaConner, Wash., when Eugene passed away in 2006. In 2008, she moved to Regency of Oak Harbor.

Marjorie is survived by her loving sons, Steve Whiteman of Oak Harbor and Larry Whiteman of Clinton. She is also very fondly remembered by Steve’s wife Peggy Whiteman and son Chris Whiteman, as well as Larry’s wife Jennifer Whiteman and daughters Ahna and Katrina Whiteman. She had a very infectious smile, warm disposition and her love of kitties simply cannot be forgotten. At her request, no service will be held.
