Mark Brooks, age 16, passed away unexpectedly on Nov. 21, 2017.
Mark was an amazing human being who made his fair share of mistakes, but when it came to his friends, he was devoted to a fault.
Mark was born in San Diego on Dec. 19, 2000, moving to Washington at age 3. He moved to Oak Harbor at age 11 and never called anywhere else home. He passed away in Phoenix but will be laid to rest in his favorite city, Oak Harbor.
Mark leaves behind his loving “moms” Cindy Cluff, older brothers Bobby and Joshua (Jessica) Richards, older sisters Michelle Cluff and Arianna Brooks and his grandmother Annabelle Cluff. Mark was met by his grandfather, Howard Cluff.
He also leaves behind countless brothers and sisters he called family in Oak Harbor.
He is also survived by surrogate parents: Scott Fortin, John Hernandez, Bill Weinsheimer, Junior Scroggins and Bill Robards, the “dads” that fought him tooth and nail to better himself and would do the same today; Jeri Taylor, Dianne Fiskin, Tami Hill Encinas, Stacy McCullough and Laura Fortin, the “moms” that never quit believing in him.
Memorial information to follow.
