Mary H. Bottenberg passed peacefully and among her loved ones July 24, 2016.

She was a veteran, having served as a lieutenant in the Navy Nurses Corps, where she met her husband, retired Navy Pilot Capt. Foster L. Bottenberg to whom she was married for nearly 60 years.

Mary had four children and will always be remembered for the vivacious, strong and energetic woman she was in life. Her passion was dog training which she practiced for over 40 years, mostly on Whidbey Island.

Mary is survived by three children, 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was highly admired by all and will be greatly missed.
