Mitzi Faye Burt, wife of LaRoy Burt, passed away July 9, 2008 in Coupeville.

She was born in Fort Scott, Kan., on May 26, 1915, a duaghter of Ira Baul and Estella Rankin.

Mitzi lived on Whidbey Island for 38 years. She belonged to the Greenbank Garden Club and the Whidbey Island Doll Club. Mitzi collected dolls and was involved in the restoration of antique dolls.

The major love of her life was raising and showing poodles. Mitzi was a great artist and one of her favorite pastimes was painting.

She is survived by her husband, Roy, of Greenbank; and daughter, Dyantha Burkhardt, of California.

No services will be held. Arrangements are under the direction of Visser Funeral Home, Langley.
