Nancy Beal

Nancy Louise (Johnson) Beal, 62, of Gold Bar passed away on Saturday, June 7, at her home. She was taken from us far too soon. Nancy was born to Leon and Virginia Johnson on Feb. 20, 1952, in Oakland, Calif.

Nancy grew up in California and graduated from Washington High School in 1970. She met and fell in love with her soulmate, Ron Beal, and the two of them took on the world together.

Over the years, they moved their home, living in Pocatello, Idaho; Everett; Whidbey Island; and, for the past several years, Gold Bar.

Nancy worked for years with John L. Scott Realty on both Whidbey Island and in Monroe, and in the past few years with Grocery Outlet.

She retired in December of last year and sadly did not get to enjoy much of the reward for all those years of hard work.

Nancy is preceded in death by her parents and her beloved grandparents, Mae and “Cheech” Lewis.

She is survived by her husband, Ron; five children, Paula (Herk) of Sturdevent, Calif., Tracie (Phil) of Martinez, Calif., Tim Beal of Marysville, Wash., Jim (Ronna) Beal of Mill Creek, Wash., and Patty Beal, of Marysville, Wash.; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; her brothers, David (Teri) Johnson, Ronald (Lisa) Humphrey and Thomas Humphrey; and many nephews and nieces.

She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 16, at Purdy & Kerr in Monroe. A reception celebration at the Beal home in Gold Bar follows the services.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances can be made to the Polio Survivors foundation at www.polioassociation.org
