Nancy (Eelkema) Bartleson, 59, passed away peacefully at her home with her family on June 24, 2007, after a courageous 14-year battle with cancer.

She was born and raised in Bellingham and moved to Oak Harbor as a teenager. She married and raised her family in Seattle. She worked nine years at Shoreline Christian School and spent the last 22 years as the secretary/administrator at North Seattle Alliance Church. She was active in her community, especially in her church touching the lives of so many people in a positive way. She relied on her strong faith in the Lord and was always a strong support to her family and those around her.

She was a loving wife and mother of four. She is survived by her husband Vance; four children, Nita Lampers, Keith Lampers and wife Michele, Bruce Bartleson and wife Christy and Paula Pravitz and husband Dave; as well as nine beautiful grandchildren that brought much joy to her life.

A celebration of her life is planned for Saturday, June 30, at 11 a.m. at North Seattle Alliance Church, 2150 N 122nd St., Seattle. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Seattle Cancer Care Alliance or the Bartleson Care Trust Fund at any Bank of America Branch.
