Nawasa Quinn Look, 97, of Sequim, died March 30, 2003. She was born May 22, 1905, in Green Briar County, W.V., to Henry and Judy Workman, through ancestors who emigrated from England 40 years after the Mayflower landed at Plymouth, Mass.
At age 10, she and her family moved by train to Mossyrock, where she worked on the farm and delivered mail by horseback after school.
She married Owen Pat Quinn in Chehalis in 1922 and moved to Sequim. Returning once to Mossyrock, the couple and their children returned to Sequim in 1936.
They started Sequim Dairy, bottling and delivering milk by truck from a farm on Sequim Avenue.
Her husband died in 1952.
She married Ivan Look in Sequim in 1963. He died in 1972.
Mrs. Look was the last surviving charter member of Sequim Assembly of God Church. She also belonged to the Ladies Auxiliary of Veterans of Foreign Wars
Mrs. Look’s survivors include sons Gail Pat Quinn of Oak Harbor and Morris P. Quinn of Sequim and 10 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by son Glenn Quinn.
