Trish was born Dec. 4, 1925, to Lloyd and Lillian Cheney in Lusk, Wyo., and died Aug. 16, 2009.

She moved with her family to Oak Harbor, in 1943. The following year she met and married Jerry Ratliff, a young serviceman stationed at Whidbey Island Naval Air Station. They raised their family in many different cities in both Colorado and Washington.

She loved her country music and dancing. She was an accomplished seamstress and knitter and enjoyed macramé, ceramics and playing card games.

She is preceded in death by her daughter Jerrie Lynne Carroll and son-in-law Mike Carroll, grandson Ryan Kaufman, two sisters and one brother.

She is survived by daughter Beverly Ratliff of Washington; son Bobby Ratliff and wife Carla of Alaska; brother Harold Cheney and wife Jean of Oak Harbor; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff of Home Place in Burlington.

Arrangements have been entrusted unto the care and direction of Affordable Burial & Cremation Services, LLC of Mount Vernon. Cards of condolence may be mailed to the family in care of the Funeral Home.
