Patrick Glenn Zeigler was born on Oct. 17, 1970, to Hagood and Carol Zeigler.
He was born in Port Hueneme, Calif., and was the second born in his family. He had a rough start to his life with illness and hospital stays, but persevered. He has an older brother, Randy, and younger sister, Catherine. He grew up in Oak Harbor, graduated from Oak Harbor High School in 1990 and went to Skagit Valley Community College where he majored in marine maintenance technology. He became sick again, ending up on dialysis in 1993, and had his first kidney transplant in 1994.
In February 1995, he married Amy Littke and they eventually moved to Kalamazoo, Mich., where they lived for 10 years. During this time, he became sick again and needed another kidney transplant. He was on dialysis for two-and-a-half years before one became available. Eventually, they moved back to Washington state after his mother was found to have colon cancer and passed in 2005. Another loss happened in 2006 when his triplets, Garrett, Aden, and Elle passed away at 6 months gestation.
Through his life he had tragedy after tragedy but tried to keep a positive outlook on life. He suffered another big blow about a year-and-a-half ago when he lost his second transplant suddenly and was placed back on dialysis. He was truly loved by everyone and is survived by his three children: Jadyn, 7, Makayla, 6, Finn, 1 and-a-half; his wife, Amy; his father, Hagood; his brother, Randy; and his sister, Catherine.
