Pat Haven died peacefully on the evening of his favorite holiday, March 17, St. Patrick’s Day, 2011. His sister Kathy and his son Galen were with him. He lived a good life with many adventures and accomplishments. He attended Coupeville High School and lived most of his adult life in Clinton.
Pat had recently retired from over 25 years as a Boeing machinist and was enjoying pursuing his hobbies of hunting, fishing and taking naps. During his years at Boeing he was a valued member of the AOG program and traveled and worked all over the world. He had many close friendships with co-workers and his family hopes they will NOT share all of the stories of Pat and his co-conspirator, King Rodney.
Easily recognized by the Grateful Dead tattoo on his head, which almost covered his bald spot, Pat was a true character. His opinions were firm, well reasoned and articulately (not to mention willingly!) shared. He was smart, funny and generous. He will be sadly missed and long remembered by his family and his many friends. He is survived by his sister, Kathy, sons Tom and Galen and his grandson Devlin, in Western Washington. His daughters Maureen and Molly and twin sons John and William live in Eastern Washington. No services are planned but his life will always be celebrated by family and friends. Arrangements are entrusted to Burley Funeral Chapel where friends may go online at www.burleyfuneralchapel.com to sign a guest register and leave memories for the family.
