Paula Dean Keeton, 50, after an undaunted battle with cancer, transitioned from the arms of her loving family into the arms of the Lord Aug. 3, 2002.
Paula worked in private asset management for 25 years at Union Bank of California and Mellon Private Asset Management. Her greatest joys were her pets, cooking, creating celebrations, gardening and enjoying the outdoors. She will be remembered for her cheerful smile, sense of humor and devotion to friends and family. She is survived by her husband, Stephen Keeton of Auburn; stepdaughter, Stephanie (James) Keeton-Honan of Seattle; parents, Orlan and Demy Dean of Puyallup; sister, Althea (William) Riley and her beloved niece Merritt Riley, all of Puyallup.
At Paula’s request no formal services are planned. She chose that her ashes be scattered at Penn Cove, near her childhood home in Coupeville. Family and friends are welcome at a celebration of her life to be held at Best Western Harbor Plaza in Oak Harbor Sunday, Sept. 8, from 2 to 4:30 p.m. Our sincere gratitude for the tender care from Swedish Hospital, Dr. Goodman and the staff of the Tumor Institute and Pat Foley of Home Health. A special thank you for the constant support of her co-workers at Mellon Private Asset Management, Seattle. Remembrances may be made to Sacred Heart Shelter, 232 Warren N., Seattle WA 98109.
