Richard (Rick) Houser of Everett, Wash. was taken from his family on Nov. 24, 2013 at the age of 57. He was born in Japan and grew up in Oak Harbor, Wash. with his mother, father and three siblings.
Following graduation from high school, he immediately enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served for eight years. His career was spent in the U.S. Postal Service, from which he had recently retired.
Rick loved reading, mostly sci-fi, computer gaming, golfing and cooking.
He will be dearly missed by his loving wife, Sue; three children, Nichole, Tony and Robert; his siblings, Ralph, David and Missy; many grandchildren, extended family and a great many friends.

A celebration of life for Rick will be held 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 30 at Wallin Funeral Home & Cremation. A gathering will follow at the family home in Everett.
