Richard Raymond Fourneir

RIchard Raymond Fourneir, 77, passed away from a brain anurism on Sunday April 1, 2007.

He was born to Russell and Laura Mae Fourneir on July 11, 1929 in Seattle.

Mr. Fourneir served in the U.S. Army from 1951-1954.

He married Dorothy Anderson who later passed away from cancer.

He then married longtime wife Maryann Fourneir on April 26,1976 in Freeland.

They moved from Whidbey Island to Port Angeles and built their beautiful home in 1989.

Richard volunteered around the community. He spent countless hours with the fish hatchery rebuilding the fish population. He and Maryann also dedicated their time to the senior center.

He enjoyed fishing, building, and maintaining his property.

Survivors include his wife Maryann; son Raymond, sons and daughters-in-law Jerry and Laurie, Larry and Catherine and Don and Jacquie; daughter Alice, daughter and son-in-law Linda and Bill, daughters Connie and Karla; and sister, Dorothy Touchy. He leaves behind 16 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

A “Celebration of Life” is to be held at the Port Angeles Senior Center Wednesday April 11, from 1 to 3 p.m.
