Rita E. Eyler, 83, of Othello, Washington, passed away peacefully on May 25, 2013 in Spokane Washington with her family by her side. She was born on April 30, 1930, in Big Piney, Wyoming to John and Charlotte Moffat. She attended High School in Ellengsburg, Washington where she met and married Earl Eyler in May of 1947. She resided in Bellingham, Washington for 34 years and in Othello, Washington for the past four. Prior to moving to Bellingham, she worked for the School District in Oak Harbor, Washington. She enjoyed bowling, golf and motorcycle riding with her husband. They made several trips across the United States. In their later years, they enjoyed many winters in Arizona.
She will be remembered for her love of family and friends, and her willingness to help others.
She was preceded in death by her husband Earl, daughter Jan, her parents, two brothers and one sister. She is survived by her two sons, Gary (Yvonne) Eyler, Mike Eyler, and three daughters, Dianne (Wayne) Buehner, Marsha (Rob) Wanamaker and Gayle (Dave) Elkins. She was blessed with 14 Grandchildren and 23 Great Grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Helen Beardsley and Sally Roeder.
A memorial service will be held in her honor at 11:00 am on Saturday July 20, 2013 at the First Congregational Church, 2401 Cornwall Avenue, Bellingham, Washington.
