Romilly Jean (Wilson) Cassida, 61, passed away Dec. 6, 2006, after a brief struggle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her mother Nadine (Lundquist) Wilson, and grandparents Charles W. Wilson and Louise (Burmeister) Wilson.
She is survived by her father, Donald K. Wilson; sister, Nancy Roles; brothers, David (Marty) Wilson and Orrin (Karen) Wilson; and numerous nieces and nephews along with many friends.
Rom graduated from Hancock High School in 1962 as salutatorian of her class. She was awarded several scholarships and continued her education at the University of Minnesota-Morris, graduating with distinction in 1966. She had a long successful career with Prudential, moving all over the country and working her way up to vice president.
An artist and sculptor, Rom was widely read and enjoyed lively discussions, landscaping and gardening, interesting travels and working on her home. Upon retirement Rom built her dream home on Whidbey Island where she resided for the last eight years. She will be missed by many friends and family.
