Rosemary Joan Bosstel, age 80, of Coupeville, passed away at Whidbey General Hospital on Thursday, August 5, 2010.
Mrs. Bosstel was born in Unionville, Iowa, on Jan. 10, 1930, to Otis and Nellie (Harrington) Tweedy. At the age of ten, Rosemary moved with her family to Gary, Ind.
On March 1, 1950, she married Clyde Bosstel in Crown Point, Ind., and the couple resided in Northwestern Indiana for many years. In 1994, Rosemary moved to Oak Harbor, and then to Careage of Whidbey in 2003. She attended Family Bible Church and the Bible Baptist Church. She also enjoyed Dixieland Jazz at Mi Pueblo and participated in Senior Center activities.
Rosemary is survived by her daughter, Sandra Rodriguez of Oak Harbor and by her son, Kenneth Bosstel (Karen) of Portage, Ind.; by 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Clyde in 1987; also by two sons, Terry in June 2006 and Michael in Dec. 2006.
