On February 6, 2023 Shirley Yunker passed away peacefully in her sleep at age 91. Shirley was born to Kenneth and Coral Kaldenberg in Colfax, Iowa. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 72 years, Robert; children Craig Yunker (Patty), Chris Yunker, Cathy Katyryniuk (Mike) Cheri Eddy, sister Kay Stearns, as well as 6 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, 7 nieces and nephews.

Shirley was first and foremost a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother always making things extra special for her large family. She had many friends everywhere she and Bob lived including Yakima, Washington, Seattle, Hawaii, and

Whidbey Island. Shirley was an avid golfer and very active in her church, especially her knitting group, the Hospital guild and quite often the leader of many of these groups organizing various events.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at the Coupeville United Methodist Church, 608 N. Main St, Coupeville, WA. A luncheon will follow.
