Suzanne Shanklin Albright of Langley, Wash., passed away Sept. 11, 2016.

Suzanne was born Nov. 4, 1935, in AnnArbor, Mich., to Alfred and Ethel Shanklin. She attended Central Michigan and Michigan State where she studied art. She loved to travel and was very involved in the art community in Seattle and on Whidbey Island. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Lt. Cmdr. Donald W. Albright (USN Ret.); her children, Christine Albright, Dianna Bird and Michael Albright(Susan); grandchildren, Jesse Bird, Shanan Bird, Benjamin Wright, Lillian Albright, Miriam Albright and Claire Albright; sister Genevieve Johnson; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held in her honor at 3 p.m. Nov. 20, 2016, at Island Church of Whidbey, 503 Cascade Ave, Langley, Washington.
