Suzanne Charlotte Brown

Suzanne Charlotte Brown passed away at home in the early morning of March 8, 2016, with her loving husband Brian, the love of her life, attending to her every need.
Suzanne was born on Nov. 25, 1957. She was 58 years old at the time of her death.
She left behind her son James, daughter Charlene and three beloved grandchildren: Daniel, Mason and Olivia. Also left behind are her brothers, Terry, Doug and Russell.
Suzie and Brian have longstanding relationships with the interfaith community in Oak Harbor. They attended New Covenant Fellowship for many years (now Grace Fellowship). Suzanne also worked in the office for a time at New Covenant. They enjoyed numerous home fellowships and Bible study groups throughout the area.
Suzanne and Brian owned the Trolley Stop Espresso for a time, having their daughter Char work with them at the coffee stand off of Goldie Road near Ault Field. Suzie also worked at Mitzell’s, The Kneed and Feed in Coupeville, Summerhill Retirement Center as a cook and caring friend to the residents, along with other various other opportunities from time to time throughout the years. Suzanne had recently been attending Skagit Valley College and discovered she was a very good student!
She loved bringing people together around the table and is fondly remembered by the many gatherings filled with outstanding food, fellowship and fun, making a comfortable, casual and accepting atmosphere. The kitchen was her greatest ministry tool, sharing her baking skills and cooking often. Suzanne would don a clown suit from time to time, entertaining the children and adults alike. She had a way with creativity as it exploded in delightful skits, children’s church ministry and who knows where! She’d light up the room with lively delight and cause an infection of joy. Her grandchildren were particularly a source of extreme happiness to her. Suzie impacted many lives with her care and love.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., March 26, at The Vineyard Church, where she and Brian attended, 1080 SE Pioneer Way, Oak Harbor, WA 98277.
Any cards or other condolences may be sent to the Brown family in care of Burley Funeral Chapel 30 SE Ely St., Oak Harbor, WA 98277
