Terry Robert Fritz, 57, passed away July 24, 2005. He was born May 11, 1948 in Seattle, the younger of two children born to Robert and Audrey Fritz.
Terry was raised in the small country town of Alderwood Manor and attended Mountlake Terrace High School.
In 1966 Terry joined the Marine Corps and served his country well. He did two tours of duty in Vietnam as a helicopter crew chief. In 1970 Terry returned home with an honorable discharge.
Jobs were hard to find for Vietnam vets back then, so Terry, while in San Diego, joined the Navy. In a very short time he received a medical discharge. He had cancer and survived.
Terry followed his dreams and had many adventures that took him many places, but he finally came to make his home on Whidbey Island. He enjoyed having his own business, Island Concrete Pumping. Terry loved people, enjoyed boating and his favorite ride was a Harley. He also found a true and devoted friend in Pat Keliher who supported and helped him through his pain and suffering. We thank you.
Terry is survived by his mother, Audrey Fritz of Greenbank; his sister, Candy Johnson and her husband Larry of Redding, Calif.; a niece, Charlene Young of Mountlake Terrace; John, J.D. and Cody Fox, the husband and children of his late niece Carmen Fox of Spanaway; and other relatives and many friends whose lives he touched.
Memorial services for Terry Fritz will be Sunday, July 31 at 1 p.m. at the American Legion Hall in Bayview.
