Thomas William Howard, 63, died July 3, 2002, at his home in Grayland. He was born April 29, 1939, in Stockton, Calif. He was the beloved husband of Bernita L. Howard and father to Thomas F, Lisa Turpin, John S. and Melissa Rouse. He was a proud grandfather to eight and great-grandfather to one. He retired as a chief petty officer with 24 years service. Tom was a member of Doric Masonic Lodge; a lifetime member of VFW posts 3057 and 9430 and member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary.
