Vern L. Terry, 79, resident of Cornet Bay (Oak Harbor), passed away in Gig Harbor on June 12, 2007. He was born Oct. 4, 1927, in Fort Dodge, Iowa.

Vern is survived by his wife, Jean Terry, daughter Sandy (Frank) Ruffo of Gig Harbor, son Stephen Moore of Woodacre, Calif., step-daughter Sherry Grant (George Kynl) of La Conner, stepson Donald (Kathy) Grant of Portland, Ore., grandchildren Brian (Kari) of Edmonds, Ryan (Paula) Grant of Medical Lake, and Margaret Jean Grant of Portland. There are three great-grandchildren.

Vern operated Cascade Glass in Seattle for many years before retiring to Cornet Bay where he whiled away the hours watching boat traffic heading towards the Deception Pass Bridge. Private family service will be held.
