Twenty-six Oak Harbor athletes, including three first-team selections, earned post-season honors when the Western Conference announced it’s all-conference choices this week.
Sophomore golfer Annie Leete and boys track seniors Matt Reith (3,200) and Joshua Schrum (1,600) topped the Wildcats by receiving first-team all-Wesco 3A honors.
Schrum was also honorable mention in the 800, and senior teammate Josiah Miller was second team in two events (100, 200) and honorable mention in a third (triple jump).
Other second-team choices were Raeanna Wynne (girls track, 100 hurdles), Christina Wicker (girls track, 400), Maura McKole (girls track, 200), Elias Whitefoot (boys golf), and Bree Roderos (girls golf).
Honorable mention selections included Jessica Hollins (girls track, 200), Emily Hunt (fastpitch, first base, pitcher), Shawna Steele (fastpitch, catcher, shortstop), Marissa Fakkema (fastpitch, outfield), Morgan Young (fastpitch, outfield), Caleb Gatica-Cortes (soccer, defender), Kevin Silveira (soccer, goalkeeper), Jack Richter (baseball, pitcher), Sam Glavick (baseball, catcher), Dimitri Munoz (baseball, pitcher), Grant Schroeder (baseball, shortstop), Austyn Walker (baseball, third base), Chris Hailer (boys track, high jump), Dejon Devroe (boys track, 400) and the boys track 4×400 relay team of Devroe, Carlton Johnson, Chris Opdyke and Conner Meyer.
