Led by a strong effort from its seventh-grade boys, the North Whidbey Middle School cross country team won a three-school meet at Fort Nugent Park Wednesday, Sept. 26.
The Cougars captured the meet with 133 points, followed by Burlington-Edison (172) and Cascade of Sedro-Woolley (252).
North Whidbey’s Jameson O’Hara won the seventh-grade boys race as the Cougars placed seven in the top eight.
Cougar Carly VanGiesen finished first in the seventh-grade girls race.
