Oak Harbor forward Frank Smith kicks the ball during the Wildcats’ home opener March 20 against Nooksack Valley. Oak Harbor won 6-0 in its home opener and scored three goals in the first 10 minutes of the contest. JB Habitan and Nate Rientjes scored two goals each and Smith and Jason Brooks each scored a goal. The win against Nooksack Valley brings Oak Harbor’s record to 2-1 with the other victory coming against Blaine. Oak Harbor’s next game took place Tuesday at Sedro-Woolley after the News-Times went to press. Their next home game takes place March 29 when the Wildcats host Sehome.
