Angels third, Rays fourth in Andrade Tournament / Little League baseball

North Whidbey Little League’s Angels placed third and the Rays fourth in the annual Andy Andrade Tournament this week at Windjammer Park.

Brady Towsley hit a home run to put the finishing touches on the Angels’ 13-3 win over the Rays in a consolation game Friday, June 9.

The Angels then fell to eventual champion Burlington-Edison Diamondhawks Saturday in a winner-to-the-finals game Saturday.

The Diamondhawks topped Anacortes twice Sunday to claim the title.

Next up for North and Central Whidbey Little Leagues is all-star action. The first tournament begins Saturday, June 17, when the Coupeville Junior softball team hosts Orcas Island at noon at Rhododendron Park.
