Both North Whidbey Aquatic Club competitors in the Pacific Northwest Swimming Long Course Championships July 31 to Aug. 2 in Federal Way earned top-10 finishes.
Swimming in the girls 10 and under division, Alana Miller, 10, led the way with a fourth in the 50-meter butterfly (37.04) and a fifth in the 100 fly (1:29.46).
She also placed 21st in the 50 backstroke (42.98).
The butterfly times were personal bests.
Lindsay Brown, 9, recorded personal bests while finishing ninth in the 100 fly (1:32.45), 17th in the 100 breaststroke (1:42.35) and 19th in the 100 back (1:29.74).
