Babe Ruth team sets tryouts / Baseball

The Oak Harbor Babe Ruth baseball team will hold tryouts for 13- and 14-year-olds from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 24 and 25, at Oak Harbor High School’s Wildcat Memorial Stadium.

Players trying out should enter the stadium at the visitor’s entrance; no metal cleats are allowed.

Oak Harbor Babe Ruth is a select baseball program and competes in the Skagit Valley Babe Ruth League. The team plays about 20 regular season games in addition to several tournaments.

Practices begin in March and the season ends in July; home games are held at Clover Valley Park.
