The North Whidbey Aquatic Club finished third in a four-team meet hosted by the Thunderbird Aquatic Club Saturday, Jan. 11, in Anacortes.
Host TAC won with 3,526 points, followed by Seattle’s Excel Swim Club (1,339), NWAC (818) and Lake Stevens’ Storm Aquatics (468).
North Whidbey was led by Kiersten Tyson, who won four events in the girls 13-14 class: 50-yard freestyle, 27.14; 100 free, 58.84; 200 free, 2:08.72; 100 backstroke, 1:05.33. She also finished second in the 100 butterfly (1:05.99).
The Blue Heron collected two others firsts: Lila Forbes, girls 11-12 200 breaststroke, 3:44.97; and Leylah Dominguez, girls 13-14 200 individual medley, 2:45.27.
Forbes added a second in the 200 IM (3:04.3).
Elsa Min finished second in two events in the girls 10 and under division: 100 free, 1:33.39, and 50 butterfly, 48.69.
Others seconds were earned by Indiana Whitley (girls 11-12 200 backstroke, 3:40.5) and Connor Stewart (boys 11-12 100 free, 1:18.06).
