Led by a sweep of the doubles matches, Marysville Getchell nipped the visiting Oak Harbor High School tennis team 4-3 Monday, Sept. 12.

The Wildcats took the first three singles matches but couldn’t pick up another point in the conference opener for both schools.

Oak Harbor (2-2, 0-1) hosts Snohomish (3-1, 1-0) at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 14.

Singles: 1, Jackson Wezeman won 6-0, 6-1; 2, Jordan Park won 6-4, 6-3; JJ Mitchell won 6-2, 6-3; 4, Sid Thomas lost 6-1, 6-1.

Doubles: 1, John Bird/Matthew Kolden lost 6-0, 6-0; 2, Ryan Mene/Scot Erickson lost 6-1, 6-2; 3, Jacob Schermerhorn/Enrique Perez-Herronz won 6-4, 6-1.
