Five members of the Whidbey Wildcat Wrestling Club claimed first place in a tournament hosted by the Skagit Valley Yellowjackets last weekend.

Alex Clairmont (Intermediate 62-64), Dylan Estes (Novice 61-63), Liam Baca (Novice 69-71), Elizabeth Clairmont (Novice 83-89) and Natasha Estes (Schoolboy/girl 77.2-80.2) picked up blue ribbons for the Wildcats.

Eight wrestlers finished second: Brody Force (Pee Wee 41-42), Jacob Barajas (Pee Wee 55-56), Logan Clairmont (Bantam 43-44), Mason Burns (Intermediate 53-55), Sayer Baca (Intermediate 60-61), Colby Nelson (Intermediate 68-70), Malik Murrarie (Novice 104-109) and Jenzia Chadduck (Novice 123-139).

Placing third were Ryan VanGorder (Bantam 45-47), Gracy Woollet (Bantam 48-49), Trenton Force (Intermediate 53-55) and Lita Woollet (Novice 55-57).

Olivia Clairmont (Intermediate 55-56) and Seth Woollet (Intermediate 56-57) each finished fourth.
