Coupeville’s small team was part of one of the largest high school cross country meets in the United States when the Wolves ran at the 35th annual Hole in the Wall Invitational Saturday, Oct. 6, at Lakewood High School.
Seven CHS runners joined nearly 3,000 others from 103 teams from four states and British Columbia.
The places of the Wolves and the times of some of the runners where not published in the list of results because of problems with the timing system.
For the Coupeville girls, Catherine Lhamon ran 20:35.3 and Alana Mihill 23:54.4.
Danny Conlisk paced the boys with an 18:04, and Sam Wynn ran 19:44.9. TJ Rickner, Uriah Kastner and Chris Ruck also ran in the meet.
Coupeville competes at King’s at 4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 11, in a North Sound meet.
