Without losing a set, the Coupeville High School tennis team rolled over Cavelero 5-0 at Lake Stevens Tuesday.
Senior Connor Tasoff dropped the first game in No. 1 singles, then won 12 straight to take the match 6-1, 6-0. Junior Ben Hayes picked up a win for the Wolves in No. 2 singles, 6-0, 7-5.
Senior Jordan Lamb and junior Sean Thurman teamed up to win first doubles 6-1, 6-0. Seniors Travis Curtin and Garrett Knoll took less than 45 minutes to win 6-0, 6-0 in second doubles.
In third doubles, senior Eston Humphrey and freshman Nate Lamb found themselves in a 0-3 hole before rallying and winning the first set 7-5. Their 6-2 win in the second set wrapped up the sweep for the Wolves.
Coupeville coach Ken Stange said, “The players were able to show their dominance while working to improve aspects of their individual games.”
The Wolves play Friday Harbor in Coupeville Friday at 3 to begin league play.
