Happy birthday, Aram Leyva.

Leyva scored a hat trick on his birthday to power the Coupeville High School soccer to a 5-1 win at Cedar Park Christian Tuesday, March 26.

Leyva’s cousin, Derek Leyva, tallied the other two Coupeville goals.

Derek Leyva’s first goal gave the Wolves a 1-0 half-time lead. From there, Coupeville blitzed the Eagles in the second half behind Aram Leyva’s birthday explosion.

Coupeville improved to 2-1 in league and 4-3 overall with the win; CPC fell to 0-3, 0-4.

Next is the second of five straight road matches for the Wolves when they head to Langley to face South Whidbey (1-0, 4-1) at 6 p.m. Friday, March 29.
