Oak Harbor High School junior Dorian Hardin was voted to the Associated Press All-State Football team last week.
Hardin was an All-Western Conference North Division first team defensive back selection last fall and a second team choice as a sophomore.
“Dorian was our shut down corner,” Oak Harbor coach Jay Turner said. “He is really good at anticipating routes and is never in the wrong position. He is also one of the hardest working kids on the team.
“He has the great combination of being very athletic and also extremely intelligent.”
Hardin was one of only three non-seniors voted to the 26-man team.
He is joined in the defensive backfield by Wesco North’s James Hinson of Ferndale. Two other Wesco North players earned first-team honors : Arlington lineback Payton Bastien and Ferndale lineman Mikhail Varetskiy, who was named on both offense and defense.
