A sweep of the doubles matches carried the South Whidbey High School tennis team to a 3-2 win over Coupeville Monday, Sept. 30, in Langley.
Drake Borden (6-3, 6-1) and Mason Grove (6-0, 6-0) won singles matches to pick up the Wolves’ two points.
In doubles action, Coupeville’s James Wood and Zach Ginnings lost in first doubles 6-3, 6-1; Andrew Aparicio and Thane Peterson fell in second doubles 6-1, 6-3; and Miles Davidson and Logan Martin dropped third doubles 6-4, 6-2.
Coupeville (1-6) plays at Eastside Prep (2-3) at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 1.
