Arlington used a nine-run first inning to cruise to a 15-0 win over the Oak Harbor High School fastpitch team at Hillcrest Elementary Monday, March 19.
The Eagles (1-1) used five walks and four hits (two home runs) to produce the big inning. Arlington added a run in the second, two in the third and three in the fifth in the five-inning game.
Meanwhile, the Wildcats could generate little offense as Morgan Young collected the only Oak Harbor hit.
Oak Harbor (2-2) begins league play at 4 p.m. Tuesday, March 20, at Lynnwood (1-1) and then entertains powerful Everett (4-0) Friday.
