Everett’s volleyball team swept by the Wildcats 3-0 Wednesday at Oak Harbor High School.
The Seagulls took the match 25-21, 25-21, 25-19.
Everett became more dominate as the match went along. The Seagulls finally overtook Oak Harbor at the 20-point mark in the first set. The two teams battled back and forth in the second set. The Seagulls then led start to finish in the third.
Melany Cone recorded 23 assists for the Wildcats, Marisa Sutherland had six kills, and Kelsey Terrazas-Cooley picked up 11 digs.
The loss dropped Oak Harbor’s Wesco North record to 1-4 and season record to 3-7. Everett is now 3-1 and 6-4.
The Wildcats play just one match next week, at Marysville-Pilchuck Tuesday. They wrap up league play the following week when they travel to Cascade Monday, Oct. 26, and host Snohomish Wednesday, Oct. 28.
