The Oak Harbor High School softball team came tantalizing close to picking up its first win of the season but lost 11-6 at Marysville Getchell Thursday, March 30.
The game was tied at 6 going into the sixth inning, then the Chargers (2-2, 3-2) scored five runs to cement the win.
With the help of a double by Miranda Wilson, Oak Harbor scored all six of its runs in the third inning to overcome a 4-0 deficit.
Miranda Wilson finished with two hits, and Brooke Wilson and Lindsay Duchnowski added singles.
Oak Harbor (0-5, 0-7) hosts Stanwood (4-1, 5-2) at 4 p.m. Friday, March 31.
