Notice to all boaters: You are invited to the 2008 Oak Harbor Boating Fair June 7 and 8 at the Oak Harbor Marina.
The Deception Pass Sail and Power Squadron will present a number of mini-classes during the two-day event featuring dozens of boating and boating-related subjects including kayaking, sailing, docking and locking, anchoring, fishing, knot tying, seamanship, protecting the waters that float your boat, to name a few, plus exhibits, life-saving techniques, demonstrations, children’s programs and contests.
Fair organizers promise that there will be something of interest for every member of the family.
Prizes? Of course!
Certified inspectors will also be available to perform free boat safety checks.
There will be food service available and cool afternoon music.
The fair is free and open to the public, so come join all the local boating enthusiasts and plan on attending both days.
The purpose of the fair is to promote boating safety and enjoyment while on the water.
