Although the Coupeville soccer team lost 4-0 to visiting Cedarcrest Thursday, Oct. 6, the Wolves are showing improvement, according to coach Mike Thornton.
The Wolves played “much better,” Thornton said, and had a “really great first half.”
Some defensive mistakes in the second half plagued Coupeville, but Thornton said, “We made them work and we saw a lot of improvement — good things are happening.”
The Wolves lost to Cedarcrest, the league co-leader with a 9-1 record, 6-0 earlier this season.
Coupeville (0-9, 1-9) travels to King’s (5-3, 6-3) Tuesday, Oct. 11, at 6 p.m.
