Neither Federal Way nor a muddy field could slow down the Islanders U-17 soccer team in its 8-2 win Sunday, Nov. 9.

“Field conditions were very sloppy, but the men did well to adjust their attack and spread the scoring around,” coach Curtis Vieke said. “Charlie Yancy was instrumental in the midfield with his pinpoint distribution setting up several scores.”

Kurtis Zylstra paced the attack with three goals; Keagan Snell added two.

Eric Jensen, Jordan Shelley and Jordan Wallace also scored.

The Islanders travel to Issaquah Sunday, Nov. 16.
