In a battle for first place, Klahowya blanked the Coupeville High School soccer team 3-0 Tuesday, Sept. 27, in Silverdale.
The Eagles (5-0-1) now lead the Olympic League with a 3-0 record after the first of three rounds. Coupeville (2-1, 4-2-1) dropped to second.
Klahowya was able to contain Mia Littlejohn, who came into the match having scored in six consecutive matches.
The two teams will meet up two more times this season. Klahowya visits Coupeville Tuesday, Oct. 18, and the Wolves go to Silverdale Sat., Oct. 22.
Next up for Coupeville is a home conference match with Port Townsend (1-2, 1-5) at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 29.
