Oak Harbor High School sophomore Nick Krantz finished 24th at the Washington 3A golf championships Tuesday and Wednesday, May 22 and 23, at the Creek at Qualchan Golf Course in Spokane.
Krantz shot a 72 Tuesday and was tied for sixth entering the second round.
He slipped to 24th with an 81 Wednesday for a two-day total of 153.
Krantz placed 62nd in last year’s tournament.
Graham Moody of Mount View captured the 2018 individual title with a 139.
Gig Harbor claimed the team title with 108 points. Oak Harbor’s Wesco foe Everett placed second with 92.5. Krantz was the only Wildcat at state, so Oak Harbor did not qualify for a team score.
Krantz finished fourth among Wesco golfers at state, trailing three Everett athletes.
