Local athletes win 5 golds at regional meet / Trampoline and tumbling

Two Oak Harbor athletes from the Ground Zero trampoline and tumbling team combined to win five gold medals Friday, May 11, at the regional championships in Las Vegas.

Trevor Haskins, competing in the boys 11-12 division, won all three of his events, Level 5 trampoline, Level 5 double mini and Level 4 tumbling.

Allison Lovett (11-12 girls) took first in Level 5 double mini and Level 3 tumbling; she added a 15th in Level 5 trampoline.

Two others also competed for Ground Zero.

Kaia Crebbin (13-14 girls) was third in Level 6 trampoline, 10th in Level 7 tumbling and 17th in Level 7 double mini.

Kaitlyn Rozycki (11-12 girls) finished fourth in Level 5 trampoline, seventh in Level 5 tumbling and 19th in Level 5 double mini.

The regional meet featured athletes from Washington, Oregon, Utah, Idaho, Colorado, Wyoming and Montana.

The national finals are in Reno in July.
